Timber treated with Tanalith® E has an initial pale green colour as standard and upon external exposure, will slowly weather to a warm, honey brown and, in the longer-term to a natural silver grey colour.
However, consumers increasingly want more colour options for their treated garden and construction timbers. Arxada has developed a portfolio of colour additive options to offer alternative colour choices to Tanalith® E treated timbers.
Tanatone® - colour choice for high pressure treated timber
- Tanatone® is a dye based colour additive available in two shades of brown that is incorporated with Tanalith® E preservative into a standard, single stage, high pressure treatment process.
- Tanatone® is designed for use with Use Class 3 and Use Class 4 timbers.
- The dye in the additive helps to ensure an even initial colour strike and distribution giving a medium quality overall result and a colour durability of around 12 months, depending on location and exposure to UV light.
- Best results are achieved on rough fencing and landscaping sawn timbers.
Tanalith Lifestyle® - create unique colours for your pine timbers
- Tanalith® Lifestyle colourant blends have been developed for use with Tanalith®. They are the latest range of high performance colour additive technologies from Arxada.
- Added to colour the wood during the high-pressure vacuum process, with Tanalith® Lifestyle you can create a unique look for pine treated timbers.
- They have been specially developed to help to ensure a longevity of colour strike – up to 2 years depending on addition rate, location and exposure to UV light – as well as an even colour strike and distribution.
- Tanalith® Lifestyle colours are available in two shades of brown and a single shade of Grey. Addition rates can be varied to allow you to create your own signature colour.
